Lesson 3 Wissam method

alright lesson 3 will be short but a bit important (i was told that my lessons have too many lame jokes, on the bright side there is someone reading my blog so that's good news ! so less jokes i'll try)

the lady katibah (كاتبة) and her big shot husband who also works as a katib (كاتب) have a big house with a huge maktabah (مكتبة) in the maktab (مكتب) there is a huge collection of kutub (كتب) in that maktabah (مكتبة) and a new kitab (كتاب) was added after the katib (كاتب) worked on it and kataba (كتب) for few months, and now the katibah (كاتبة) is starting kitabah (كتابة) a new book so let's all wish her luck

that was what we learned so far right?
we talked about our little friend ' ة ' and how it magically turns nouns to females (most of them anyway) well that little letter is called [taa marbotah] it's called that because it's a taa " ت " but tied like a package (marbotah means tied) and the taa marbotah works wonders with nouns... what do we do with verbs? well we call her sister the normal taa

we learned the word kataba (كتب) that means (he) wrote what do we do to talk about his wife the katibah after she finishes her book? .... katabat (كتبت) which now magically means (she) wrote
at this point and in this lesson it's important to understand tashkeel if you do then you won't have a problem if you don't then email me please and i will help :)

katabat (كتبت) means she wrote... now we use a little bit of tashkeel and ...
katabtu (كتبت) means I wrote
katabti (كتبت) means you (talking to a female) wrote
katabkta (كتبت) means you (talking to a male) wrote...

remember when i told you not to be confused yet? well it's time to be confused yay :D
and we are still in the past tense, so if you don't really want to learn a new language and remember rules then you came to the wrong neighborhood... ummm gentleman of course with practice and working step by step with me here you won't have a problem but if you think learning a new language is a picnic then you are a bit wrong... but i can make it the easiest so don't you worry.

we talked about the ' ت ' being the element we use to turn verbs magically to use for females so katabat (كتبت) should be easy it's exactly like the male one kataba but there is a 't' in the end
we will take one each day so don't worry about remembering them and you will get used to them and understand them in time

our dear friend the كاتب spent the night in his مكتب choosing a كتاب from the many كتب he has in his مكتبة and reading it, he didn't hear from his lovely wife the كاتبة so he got worried and went out to find her, she was enjoying her own كتاب and she didn't notice the time, when she looked at her كتابة she saw that she has already كتبت three chapters! 'this seems like a great كتاب' the كاتب said...

that is today, try to find a way to remember the كتبت tashkeel thing so it can get easier for you as we go along we will take two of them next lesson so good luck :)

thank you for reading any problems you have or questions ask me :)
